Designated Clinical Officer (DCO)
The designated clinical officer supports the Integrated Care Board (ICB) to meet our statutory responsibilities for children and young people with SEND. The DCO provides a point of contact for the ICB, Local Authority, Schools and Colleges when specialist advice is required.

Sarah George
Sarah is the Dudley Designated Clinical Officer. Sarah is a qualified and registered Learning Disability Nurse.
Sarah's role encompasses working alongside multiple health professionals to provide support for families by developing improved access to services. Sarah also leads on the continual improvement of equitability of Health Services in line with the SEND reforms.
Working alongside the Parent Carer Forum, children and young people, Local Authority and other services to provide leadership and collaboration around health to support the holistic contribution to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments.
